Technogeek Part1

Being a techno geek I am totally down with blending technology with tabletop games be it space hulk, 40k hell even down to card games like magic the gathering. This blend of geekery has increased since I got my hands on an IPhone. I could spend hours just reading Engadget.
So without further ado here is a list of IPhone apps I love for gaming.
- 1. Space Clock is a countdown timer primarily designed for use with the board game Space Hulk; however it can be used for any game that has timed turns.
Features:
- Audio cues let you know how much time is left for your turn. There’s a soft beep on every elapsed minute, a louder beep on 30 seconds remaining and a final 10 second count-down before the alarm sounds.
- Increase or decrease the count from 5 minutes to 30 seconds. This allows you to play with the Space Hulk first edition rules, where the marine player loses 30 seconds of time for each sergeant lost.
- Pause and resume the count-down at any time. Perfect for when you need to consult the rule-book.
- Additional points counter for keeping track of mission objectives, such as marines saved.
- Clear interface with big buttons and a striking visual style.
Space Clock is the perfect companion for your board-gaming sessions!
Found in the appstore do a search for the title.
2. TCG Buddy
TCGBuddy is the ultimate companion for players of Trading Card Games. It was designed for games like Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh
TCGBuddy keeps track of your game state throughout your matches – with round timers, counter tracking, life tracking and notes – and saves your games to history for later reference.
You can also use TCGBuddy to roll dice, flip a coin, or time your drafts!

3. Army Builder
Army builder allows you to make rosters for many different war games. But my latest love with it is once I have completed say a 1500 points roster for 40k. I save it for mobile which is one of the save options, you can also save to pdf or print it out. When I save for mobile it makes a html list that is perfect for small screen cell phones and My IPhone. I upload the html to my web space here and have a link on my phone to go to all my rosters. Based on all the models I have so say im at my local store and have all my figures and someone wants to play a 1200 point game I have a list already and just have to pull out the models 3000pt list same thing have one set up for orks, elder, tau etc etc all at my finger tips. It lists special rules stats etc and then adds page numbers for the rule books so you can look them up as well. Armybuilder can be found here.
C’mon Fight

They shall be my finest warriors, these men who give of themselves to me. Like clay I shall mould them, and in the furnace of war forge them. They will be of iron will and steely muscle. In great armour shall I clad them and with the mightiest guns will they be armed. They will be untouched by plague or disease, no sickness will blight them. They will have tactics, strategies and machines so that no foe can best them in battle. They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines and they shall know no fear.
